What is restorative yoga?
Restorative yoga is done with the use of props; such as bolsters, straps, blocks and blankets. This practice involves placing you in a position that is as comfortable as possible for anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes with the intention to bring the body into a state of bliss. It restores the body in a more restful manner in that unlike yin- your weight is completely supported.
what is a twin flame?
Good question! I don’t really think anyone truly knows the answer to that. I can tell you it is the LEAST romantic love story of your life set to bring you into wholeness. It reflects some of your WORST shadows and your BRIGHTEST light. It is infuriating at times and some of the DEEPEST love you will ever experience. If you want to know more; there are some GREAT Twin Flame teachers out there… The Twin Flame Healers, Alison Lessard and readers such as Mystic Moon to name a few. Overall, it was and has been described as the fast track to ascension.
WHERE DO YOU TEACH?
Right now I teach once a week at Northgate Gym in Rochester and sub every so often at Ah Sirt Fitness in Zumbrota. I also host monthly community events. Coming soon I hope to start offering some simple at home practices to do at home via the internet… one step at time though.
what is yin yoga?
Yin yoga does not include any props and poses are generally held for 3 to 5 minutes by using the weight of gravity for a deep stretch in the tendons and fascia within the joints. More than that, it is also suggested that yin helps with energy blockages in the meridians that run to the organs within the body, which allows for a more free flow of energy and further healing to the body system.
DO I HAVE TO BE FLEXIBLE IN ORDER TO DO YOGA?
NO! We do yoga to gain flexibility in the body and mind… if we came into yoga already super flexible then there would be no point in weekly practices.
