Gratitude Yin/Restore

A grateful body is one that is soft, open, and receptive, especially around the area of the heart. This is the state in which we can experience AND express gratitude. At no other time in our human existence are we reminded to be grateful more than during the month of November. Come join me for a gratitude practice that can hopefully be used throughout the month of November and beyond! Class will begin by getting as comfy as possible in a restorative yoga pose (with the use of props), then slowly harmonizing thoughts with heart to activate the healing power of gratitude.

RESTORATIVE YOGA & CHAKRA DIALOGUE

Back by popular request! It is suggested that we have 7 major psychological energy centers that run along the spine. Each energy center, or chakra corresponds to physical, emotional and spiritual development within the system. There are different ways in which we can work with our chakras from treating them as resource centers or areas in the body where we relate certain aspects of our lives, (i.e. the heart relating to love and forgiveness) to approaching them as levels of consciousness in the form of addressing and processing each chakra’s themes. This class is designed to not only help you access these resource centers, but also process what each chakra has to say by slowing down and tuning in with restorative yoga, then allowing the inner voice to speak by creating with art and journal prompts.

This month’s full moon (seasonal blue moon) invites the energy of surrender. Our control tendencies could be the result of old wounds and patterns of behaviors that cause distrust in ourselves, others and source or universe. Not only do we come into this world and take on hurts, traumas, wounding from this life, but did you know that our bodies carry LIFETIMES of patterns and stuck energy? This class is designed as a safe container with yin yoga and journaling, inviting in the energy of surrender in order to release deeply embedded emotions and stories held within the tissues and muscles of the body. The end of class will include an ancestral and past life clearing in order to help re-establish and re-connect to you to your higher self and divinity.
